/// Zehra. Like the Kurdish artist Zehra Doğan. It is not, however,
a tribute to the work of Zehra Doğan understood as simple admiration of the disruptive expressive force and denunciation of her paintings. It is, if anything, a description that becomes a metaphor for his relationship with art that is opposed to a society in which art itself has less and less value (the latter understood as coherence, depth of intent, shunning any compromise). Zehra is therefore a personal narration of what can be defined as the “necessity of the creative act that is not dependent on whatever”.
Nine original electro-acoustic compositions with a dense and materic sound made using a variety of devices such as turntable feedback, samplers, synthesizers that use sound as a material dialoguing with the drums, the vibraphone and various objects by Stefano Grasso. The H’UM duo often becomes a trio or, sometimes, a quartet with the addition of several extraordinary guest musicians, chosen for different stylistic fields: Placido Salamone - producer and leading Italian pop guitarist (Antonacci, Ramazzotti, Celentano, etc.); Carlo Nicita - very original jazz flutist with obvious classical influences; Camilla Barbarito - actress/singer (or vice versa) dedicated to popular music and theatrical experimentation; Danilo Gallo - bassist and double bassist of the most interesting Italian jazz open to multiple influences and genres; Alberto N. A. Turra - very original guitarist with a strong blues matrix; Sarah Stride - electro-pop singer-songwriter; Eloisa Manera - avant-garde violinist.

/// Zehra. Come l’artista curda Zehra Doğan.
